The Professional Financial Plans is the first pension plan company in the Philippines; it was registered as a pre-need pension plan company on December 22, 1976. Then on 1995, the company was known to as The Professional Group Plans (TPG) when the merger between the Professional Academic Plans, Inc. and the Professional Pension Plans, Inc. was approved on March 7, 1995.

 TPG is now under corporate rehabilitation after months of deliberation and consultation at the Makati Regional Trial Court (May 29, 2007).  With the petition granted and modified rehabilitation plan approved, TPG’s business will focus its policies and directions on two thrusts: (1) servicing of the restructured plans, and; (2) the investment and growth of the Trust Funds, as managed and held in custody by the Trustees.
